Description
Item Description:Advertised in the New York morning post, Oct. 20, 1788. - Advertisement for a book sold by Hugh Gaine, p. [31]. - Drake, M. Almanacs, 5960. - English Short Title Catalog, W22638. - Evans, 21165. - Hutchins died in 1782, and the calculator of the present almanac is Andrew Beers. The ephemeris, and practically all the calculations and the astronomical and horological notes on the calendar pages, are identical with those in the Columbian almanack and ephemeris for 1789 (New York), by Beers. The eclipse predictions in the two almanacs, though varying in some of their calculations, are clearly by the same hand. - Reproduction of original from Boston Public Library. - The Anatomy is the only illustration
