Description
Item Description:Advertised in the New York morning post, Nov. 11, 1789. - Advertisements for books sold by H. Gaine, p. [3], [40] and [48]. - Drake, M. Almanacs, 5971. - English Short Title Catalog, W22643. - Evans, 21901. - Hutchins died in 1782, and the calculator of the present almanac is Andrew Beers. The calculations in the ephemeris and the eclipse predictions, the phrasing of the latter, nearly all the calculations in the moon's column and most of the astronomical and horological notes on the calendar pages, are identical with those in his Beers's almanack and ephemeris for 1790, published at Hartford. Variations in the other calculations reflect the difference in meridian between Hartford and New York. - Reproduction of original from Boston Public Library. - The Anatomy is the only illustration
