William Loughton Smith

William Loughton Smith (1758 – December 19, 1812) was an American lawyer, politician, and diplomat from Charleston, South Carolina. He represented South Carolina in the United States House of Representatives from 1789 until 1797, during which time he served as chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means. Provided by Wikipedia
