Summary:Understanding how people living with depression and anxiety, and the people who care for them, experience mental health care can provide insight into an appropriate model of mental health care delivery, including a stepped care approach. The purpose of this review is to explore and describe patients', caregivers', and health care providers' experiences and perspectives with pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). For psychotherapy, there is a focus on CBT, IPT, and BA.
