Description
Summary:This special issue focuses on energy and the environment, including the latest research results and prospects. The special issue contains eleven original articles and two review articles. Most of the works focused on the synthesis and related mechanisms of photocatalytic nanomaterials. Photocatalysis technology has great potential to solve energy shortages and environmental pollution. Improving the sunlight utilization efficiency and catalytic activity of photocatalytic nanomaterials is the key problem that restricts the large-scale application of photocatalytic technology. This special issue details the internal mechanism of enhancing photocatalytic activity from element doping, constructing composite heterogeneous structures, introducing organic photosensitive materials, morphology control, and so on. These contributions provide various approaches to designing and establishing efficient photocatalytic nanomaterials.
