Fruit of a Master's dissertation, it shows us what Gisele de Assis Carvalho Cabral, its author, considered it a priority to share with her readers: the essentiality of reading Children's Literature books for the formation of the child and, specifically, the role of illustrations in the formation process of the little reader. Among all the illustrators and producers of stories told through images or combining words and images, Gisele chose Rui de Oliveira who, in more than forty years of work with the art of illustrating stories, developed what they call an "approach method" or " plastic solutions" to think about each work in its uniqueness, always concerned with meeting the needs of appropriating artistic, aesthetic, essentially humanizing values on the part of children. Rui de Oliveira's artistic production reveals that the picture book translates its author's worldview, the way he thinks and the way in which he describes objects, places, people and their physical and psychological characteristics, their emotions, and narrates the facts, the events experienced by the characters, in constant dialogue with the reader who, in response to the questions posed by the author, looks inside himself, considers and elaborates everything perceived, understood and felt, broadening his look beyond appearances, discovering a world hitherto unknown, although he was involved in it all the time. The author demonstrates that the other, with his way of expressing words and images, sharpens the reader's curiosity, imagination and creativity and offers him opportunities to penetrate the world of culture, aesthetics, art, philosophy... in short, in an immense world of possibilities that unfolds before your eyes! To check! enfim, em um mundo imenso de possibilidades que se descortina diante de seus olhos! A conferir! A produção artística de Rui de Oliveira revela que o livro de imagem traduz a visão de mundo de seu autor, o modo como pensa e a forma pela qual descreve os objetos, os lugares, as pessoas e suas características físicas e psicológicas, suas emoções, e narra os fatos, os acontecimentos vividos pelas personagens, em diá- logo constante com o leitor que, em resposta às questões postas pelo autor, olha para dentro de si próprio, considera e elabora todo o percebido, compreendido e sentido, ampliando seu olhar para além das aparências, descobrindo um mundo até então desconhecido, embora estivesse nele envolvido o tempo todo. A autora demonstra que o outro, com seu modo de dizer por palavras e imagens, aguça a curiosidade, imaginação e criatividade do leitor e lhe oferece oportunidades de penetrar no mundo da cultura, da estética, da arte, da filosofia... Dentre todos os ilustradores e produtores de histórias contadas por imagens ou combinando palavras e imagens, Gisele escolheu Rui de Oliveira que, em mais de quarenta anos de trabalho com a arte de ilustrar histórias, desenvolveu o que denominam um "método de abordagem" ou "soluções plásticas" para pensar cada obra em sua singularidade, sempre preocupado em atender às necessidades de apropriação de valores artísticos, estéticos, essencialmente humanizadores por parte das crianças. Fruto de uma dissertação de Mestrado, mostra-nos o que Gisele de Assis Carvalho Cabral, sua autora, considerou ser prioritário compartilhar com seus leitores: a essencialidade da leitura de livros de Literatura Infantil para a formação da criança e, especificamente, o papel das ilustrações no processo de formação do pequeno leitor. |
