|a This study examines the legal doctrines in the UCP Directive on Unfair Business Practices and explains the obligations of national legislators to implement them. Following a critical analysis of the 2008 and 2015 amendments to the German Act on Unfair Competition, the author argues for the transparent implementation of the Directive in a modular, systematic Act on Unfair Competition that is differentiated teleologically in material law.
