Summary:The ESP Coordinating Center (ESP CC) is responding to a request from the Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention (OMHSP) for an evidence brief on measurement based care (MBC) delivery practices in mental health care, specifically in the context of using standardized patient-reported outcome measures in shared decision-making with individual veterans. As previous reviews have had mixed findings and none have provided sufficient guidance specifically about MBC as used in shared decision-making, the approach endorsed by VA, to advance previous work we conducted a rapid evidence review to evaluate the effectiveness and harms of MBC in mental health shared decision-making
