|a A typical prosthesis used for limb replacement has three main components: a pylon, a socket, and a suspension system. The connection between the residual limb and the prosthetic socket is facilitated by the suspension system. There are many types of suspension systems available, including pin-lock systems, suction suspension, supracondylar suspension cuffs, total elastic suspension, or elevated vacuum suspension systems. The objective of the current report is to evaluate the clinical effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of prosthetics with elevated vacuum suspension systems versus standard prosthetic systems for adults with amputation. Additionally, evidence-based guidelines regarding the use of elevated vacuum suspension systems will be reviewed
