Description
Summary:A strong body of research demonstrates associations between the incidence of Alzheimer's disease and individuals' personality characteristics, level of social engagement, and educational attainment. To advance understanding of the causal pathways leading to Alzheimer's, the Board on Behavioral, Cognitive, and Sensory Sciences convened a workshop in June 2017. This workshop was designed to build on a 2015 workshop that focused on the importance of delineating causal relationships underlying associations between behavioral, social, and biological factors and long-term health. This publication briefly summarizes the presentations and discussions from the workshop
