At a meeting of the select committee, appointed "to inquire whether, and by what means, the estates and revenues of the House of Bridewell can be appropriated, with greater effect, than at present, to the benefit of its original and proper objects, conformable to the beneficent intention of the royal founder and our ancestors" the following propositions were ordered to be entered on the minutes, and printed, for the consideration of the committee
