| Summary: | This book is the first report of adult cardiac surgical database of the database registry of Society of Thoracic Surgeons of Thailand covering the calendar years between 2006 and 2008. Because this kind of comprehensive report of cardiac surgery had never been done before in this country some aspects of information might be neglected; certainly improvement will be seen in the subsequent edition. The registry is participated by 19 government and 2 private hospitals with the valid data of adult cardiac surgery of 16,017 patient records (congenital heart surgery database information is not presented in this book) therefore this book is actually equivalent to the "First National Adult Cardiac Surgical Database Report" demonstrating "Practice of adult cardiac surgery in Thailand: Measuring performance and outcome". This book is the workforce of participation from main institutions in Thailand, published by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons of Thailand, can be served as the standard of reference for any adult cardiac surgery both in Thailand and anywhere in the world
