In this anthology, lecturers and researchers at Saarland University's Europa-Institut expound on the latest findings and trends of their most important research topics. They discuss the present state of the art in European management, focusing on the areas of marketing & commerce and organisation & human resource management. The structure of this book ist modelled on that of the first two volumes, the underlying concept of which has shaped the face of business teaching and resarch at the Europa-Institut in Saarbrücken. Important environmental changes are identified and analysed from an outside-inside perspective, and are taken as a basis for formulating strategic competitive directions. The inside-outside perspective considers enterprises from the point of view of their organisation and human resources. "Strategic Management" addresses researchers, students and executives in the areas of international management, business administration, organisation, marketing, commerce and human resource management. Univ.-Professor Dr. Joachim Zentes holds the chair of Business Administration, especially Foreign Trade and International Management at Saarland University, Germany. He is director of the Institute for Commerce and International Marketing and director of the Europa-Institut at Saarland University. Univ.-Professor Dr. Christian Scholz holds the chair of Business Administration, expecially Organisation, Human Resource Management and Information Management, and is also director of the Europa-Institut at Saarland University, Germany
