Item Description:Attributed to Thomas Lee by Evans. According to Richard Crawford, however, the compiler is unkown. Lee was responsible for another compilation entitled Sacred harmony [1800?] recorded as Evans 38446. - Dated [1790?] by Evans, [1789] by Shipton & Mooney. The American Antiquarian Society copy has an owner's inscription dated 1789.
