Copies of the opinions of three very eminent and learned gentlemen, in regard to the construction of an university statute, having yesterday been printed and dispersed; it has been requested of another person, in this place, (much inferior, it is owned, to them all in every respect) to throw together a few observations in vindication of the sentiments of his friends and himself upon this occasion.
