A Short state of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, and of the advantages which will attend the carrying the same through the several townships of Marsden, Pendle Forest, Ightenhill Park, Gauthorp, Padiham, Apton, Altham, Clayton, and Harwood, in the county Palatine of Lancaster, as described in the annexed plan, instead of the present parliamentary line; with observations upon the opposition now made to the said canal being carried through the estate of Master Hesketh, in the township of Harwood; humbly submitted to the consideration of the members of the Honourable House of Commons
