Sheriff, The 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th Days of May, 1796, and printed under his particular direction and authority. Candidates, John Baker, Esq. S. E. Sawbridge, Esq. George Gipps, Esq. Sir J. Honywood, Bart. Shewing for which of them every person voted, with the names of those whose Votes were not Taken, And the reasons why they were objected to. To which is added, a complete alphabetical list, and an index, Arranged under the Names of the Places where the freemen reside. Together with a list of candidates, With the Number of votes for each at every election from 1721 to 1796. and a list of the unpolled freemen at the last election. Also an appendix, In which is given a sketch of the arguments used by the Learned Counsel on each Side, respecting the Right of Persons who had received Parochial Relief to Vote. With the very able and manly Decision of the Recorder of Canterbury thereon, (who acted at counsel to the Sheriff)
