Item Description:Dated at head of text: "Friday, April I, 1712. - Drop-head title, which is followed by the imprint. - English Short Title Catalog, T44823. - Goldsmiths', 4967. - Reproduction of original from British Library. - The verso of the first leaf following p. 19, which is numbered 12, is headed: "No. 6", and entitled: 'Estimate of the subsidys annually granted by Parliament, so as the same are paid to foreign princes, in pursuance of the treatys made with them, since the beginning of this war.' The text is printed sideways on this and the following recto of the second unnumbered leaf. It is signed: H. St. John, and asserts that England's allies were profiting financially at her expense during the war of the Spanish Succession; an idea presented to Queen Anne in March 1712 by Saint John's political allies (DNB)
