Item Description:A reissue of the plates of the 1714 edition, with an engraved titlepage, and an introductory sonnet. - Dated books printed for John Wren range between the years 1748 and 1757. - English Short Title Catalog, T232469. - Engraved throughout. - In Latin, English, Italian, and French verse. - Reproduction of original from British Library. - Signatures: [pi]p2s A-Lp8s; only one leaf per quire signed, with the second, fourth and first leaves signed in quires A to C respectively and the second leaf of each quire thereafter. - The Latin and Italian texts and the illustrations are mostly copied from: Veen, Otto van.
