John Howlett (4 April 1940 – 4 March 2019) was an English author and screenwriter who lived in Rye, East Sussex.

He started his writing career by co-writing the screenplay of the 1968 feature film ''if....'', directed by Lindsay Anderson. Provided by Wikipedia
