Rachel Weber

'''Rachel Weber ''née'' Wilcocks''' (fl. 1755 - 89) was an Irish organ builder, harpsichord and pianoforte maker, from Dundalk.

She married Ferdinand Weber on 31 May, 1755 and they lived in Dublin with their two children. Ferdinand was a harpsichord and organ maker, mending and tuning organs in Dublin. Rachel assisted him in his work and succeeded the business at 75 Marlborough Street for three years after his death (1784) with the help of their older son, Thomas. Since taking over the business she maintained the organ at Trinity College Dublin Chapel between 1784-87. Provided by Wikipedia
