|a This volume addresses the literary and aesthetic work of Theodore Metochites. It focuses on the “Miscellanea” and “Ethics or on Education,” the panegyrics on Nikaia (the exile capital) and Constantinople, along with the reconfiguration of the Chora Church. It takes into account Byzantine spatial representations as well as interdisciplinary relationships of the early Palaiologos period to the declining Western Late Middle Ages.
