| Summary: | The global manifestation of different forms of religion and religiosity raises the question of why such differences emerge. This volume includes contributions that contextualise religion within varying social configurations and dynamics. Such conditions may comprise social history, ideas and culture, structure, institutions, practices and beliefs or convictions.
