At a meeting of a committee of magistrates at the Session House in Newington, in the county of Surrey, on Tuesday the seventh day of November, one thousand eight hundred and fifteen, appointed at the last general quarter session of the peace, "To consider the great increase in the number of shops for the sale of gin and other spirituous liquors in the borough of Southwark and east half hundred of Brixton, and to report their opinion of the consequences of such increase, and the most efficient means of suppressing or regulating the same."
