Sir, as it may not be improper or disagreeable to give you more information relative to the valuable places on which the report is to be made to the Court of Common Council, from the committee to whom my memorial was referred, I take leave to acquaint you, that the city of London is, by charter, in possession (though not in the receipt,) of the emoluments arising from the admeasurement of all the coals imported, and all the corn and grain, imported or exported to and from this port.
