An earnest appeal for mercy to the children of the poor, particularly those belonging to the parishes within the bills of mortality, appointed by an Act of Parliament to be registered. being a general reference to the deserving conduct of some parish officers, and the pernicious effects of the ignorance and ill judged parsimony of others. With some comparative views of those parishes and the Foundling Hospital; And Reasons for the necessity of such an hospital in these cities, to be maintained for certain purposes only, and under certain restrictions.
