These proofs presumably antedate his illness, as the prefatory material, supplied in MS., makes no mention of his health, as the 1805 edition does. - Jenkinson prepared his 'Letter' following his appointment to the Select Committee to take into consideration the coins of the United Kingdom, in 1798. - Pp.1-12 are wanting but supplied in MS., the title is taken from the Oxford edition of 1805. - Reproduction of original from British Library |
